Al has been hand-building ceramics for the last two decades. His contemporary designs are a natural extension of the principles and lessons he has learned as an architect. He is intrigued by boxes, lidded forms, and jars and his current work reflects that. The featured lamp and canister are made from Buncombe White Stoneware from the hills near Ashville NC.
