In what ways has your business changed since COVID-19?
We started because of COVID. It was the springboard that allowed us to take action and do something positive and creative in quarantine.
What's the first thing you do every morning to set the tone for your day?
Did we mention coffee?
What tool, object, or ritual could you not live without in your workday?
A good podcast and coffee.
How did you come up with the name for your business?
Richmond is located on the fall line of the James River.
How did you get the idea for your business?
We love collecting t-shirts anywhere we travel and with Colleen's design background, we just started thinking how fun it would be to create our own line of shirts focused on the many things we love about Virginia.
What does the world need more of?
If you could have one superpower, what would it be?
Flying for sure. How great would it be to travel and see everything from the air whenever you wanted.
What's your favorite thing to do in Richmond when you're not in your business?
Checking out the many great restaurants and breweries.
What's your hidden talent?
Does binge watching Netflix count as a hidden talent?
What was the first concert you ever attended?
We grew up going to concerts on Brown's Island.
Who do you look up to and why?
Colleen looks up to her old creative director, David Jones, because he taught her not only the value of good creative work, but also that behind every great brand should be a great human making a positive impact.
What do you love most about Richmond?
The history and friendly people.
What's the best thing about being a local business owner?
We have always enjoyed RVA and rediscovering the city we have grown up in. By launching our new business it is allowing us to connect with other business owners who are passionate about the same things.
