There’s always been something a bit magical about going downtown during the holidays. Back in the department store heyday, visiting downtown Richmond during the holidays was a can’t miss shopping experience. Shopping at Thalhimer’s and Miller & Rhoads, and catching a glimpse of their famous window displays, was as much of a tradition as visiting Santa while Grace Street was lined with smaller shops from Berry-Burke to Montaldo’s.
Today, things have certainly changed, but downtown is still lighting up for the holidays with unique shopping and dining experiences sure to put you in a festive mood. Venture Richmond, as well as local businesses, are keeping the holiday magic alive downtown with a variety of events and experiences.
