Drive Shack Tees Off in Richmond

Whether the last time you hit a golf ball was at the mini-golf course back when hair scrunchies were cool the first time around, or you’re a regular on the back nine, Richmond’s newest day and nightlife option, Drive Shack, makes golf approachable entertainment with friendly competition, creative food and drink options, and of course, some golf for those interested.

At its core, the 65,000 square foot interactive venue, which opened on September 20 in Short Pump, is about entertainment – offering guests a fresh alternative to typical scenes. The venue boasts 96 private, all-weather driving bays where guests can mingle and relax with friends while playing one of Drive Shack’s proprietary interactive golf games.

Catering to golfers and non-golfers alike regardless of skill level, Drive Shack’s range is equipped with TrackManÔ Range Doppler radar-based technology providing unparalleled precision ball tracking in real time and features virtual courses from around the world including St. Andrews Links Old Course and PGA National.

Beyond golf, guests can go head to head competing at a number of retro arcade games dispersed throughout the multi-level venue; take in the view from the rooftop terrace lounge while relaxing around a firepit; or watch the latest sporting events on one of Drive Shack’s more than 300 televisions.

The food offerings include chef-driven dishes ranging from tacos and flatbreads to a watermelon “poke” bowl as well as ice cream sandwiches by local Richmond favorite, Nightingale in specialty flavors including the Chilly Palmer. The impressive bar program features creative cocktails including the Cold Brew and Shine and That’s My Jam, as well as a roster of local craft beers including Hardywood, Center of the Universe, and Midnight Brewery. Additionally, a tempting brunch menu includes boozy cereals such as Cinnamon Toasted Crunch and Fruit Looped.

A lineup of special and themed events including social leagues, boozy brunches, live music nights, and holiday bashes round out the venue’s entertainment options.

Drive Shack is located at 1647 Four Rings Drive in Short Pump. Pricing ranges from $25-$45 per hour based on the time of day. For more information visit
